Intravit 12 0.05% w/v Solution for Injection (ROI)

PRESENTATION:

An aqueous solution for injection containing:
Cyanocobalamin 500 micrograms/ml
Phenol, 5mg /ml as a preservative.

USES:

Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12) is essential to the synthesis of
nucleic acids. Consequently it plays an essential role in cell
metabolism and the maintenance of metabolic functions.
Intravit 12 can be administered in cases of unthriftiness,
debility and convalescence and in known cases of Vitamin B12
deficiency.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

By intramuscular or subcutaneous injection, once or twice a
week. Normal aseptic precautions should be observed.
Cattle, Horses: 2 – 5ml
Calves, Foals: 1 – 3ml
Sheep, Pigs and Goats: 0.5 – 1.5ml
Dogs, Cats: 0.5 – 1ml

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Withdrawal period for meat/milk – nil.

PHARMACEUTICAL PRE CAUTION:

Do not store above 25?C.
Protect from light.
Avoid the introduction of contamination during use.
Should any apparent growth or discoloration occur the
product should be discarded. Once a vial has been broached
the contents should be used within 28 days.
