This water soluble powder is a veterinary medicinal product administered for the therapeutic treatment of nematodosis. It contains 20% Levamisole (as Levamisole hydrochloride). It is an imidazothiazole anthelmintic that acts as antagonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors of nematodes. Levamisole acts on the roundworm nervous system and is not ovicidal. Its broad spectrum of activity, ease of use (being water soluble), reasonable safety margin, and lack of teratogenic effects have allowed it to be used successfully. Because of its mechanism of action, the peak blood concentration is more relevant to its antiparasitic activity than the duration of concentration. Levamisole resistance appears to be associated with the loss of cholinergic receptors. It has immunostimulant effects at dosage rates higher than those used for anthelmintic activity.

Dosage and Administration:

• Baboy:

  • Piglet

    • Ihalo ang 1 sachet sa 1 gal (4 Li) inuming tubig kada 10 biik

    • Purgahin sa ika-35 araw

  • Grower/Finisher

    • Ihalo ang 1 sachet sa 1 gal (4 Li) inuming tubig kada 2 baboy

    • Purgahin sa ika-75 na araw kapag ililipat na sa grow/finish area

  • Sow/Boar

    • Ihalo ang 1 sachet sa 1 gal (4 Li) inuming tubig kada baboy

    • Sows: 5-7 araw bago i-breed, 2 weeks bago manganak

    • Boars: at least 2 beses kada taon
